leaf walk

Today in nature club we went on a leaf walk and we saw the following : catalpa tree, oak trees, persimmon tree, hickory tree, pecon tree, chinese elm, american elm, buckeye tree, and the willow tree. It was raining so we did not get many pictures. Kay also talked about tree growth. We also learned the difference between simple and compound leaves. A fun activity would be to start your own leaf collection!!!! ~jayde
