Let's have a Leaf Show

Nature club kids, walk through your neighborhood or yard to find a large leaf to bring to the Nature club meeting this Friday. It can be any kind of leaf; the largest leaf from a special tree, the largest leaf in your yard or park or the largest, most beautiful leaf you can find. If you can’t choose just one, bring two or three. It helps to press the leaves in the phone book a few days or overnight so they won’t be too curly or brittle.

After sorting and identifying and telling stories about our leaves we will go on a leaf walk and check out the leaves that are changing colors and falling at the Arboretum.

PS. This leaf was scanned and is from a Kentucky Coffee tree, they have the largest leaves in North America!

See you on Friday,

Kay
