One of the best online resources about migration is the Journey North. They have great information about monarch butterflies and how they migrate. One of my favorite features of this website are the migration maps. There are dots on the map that show when and where people have seen groups of monarchs roost overnight on their travels south. Click on the dots in Iowa and you will see some great photos of these overnight butterfly clusters.
Makes me want to get outside and savor the last of these beautiful days.
